Before you upload

Getting your file ready

DL flyers print right to the edge, so there are a few extra steps. Four quick checks and a paper choice, and your flyers will come out just the way you pictured them. Not sure about something? Ask us and we'll gladly take a look.

Make sure your file is 105 × 216 mm

This is the size before we trim it to the finished size of 99 × 210 mm. The extra 3mm on every side is called bleed. Stretch your background right to the edge of your file, so no white line shows after trimming.

Keep text inside the safe zone

Keep words, logos and contact details at least 3mm in from the cut line. Flyers are cut by machine and a tiny bit of movement is normal, so this stops anything important getting clipped.

Use sharp images and CMYK colour

Aim for 300 dpi at the size the picture will print, so photos and small text stay crisp. Set your file up in CMYK. Very bright blues, greens and neons usually print a touch calmer than on your screen.

Upload a PDF

Save your file as a PDF, up to 20MB, with your fonts embedded. Printing both sides? Put the front on page 1 and the back on page 2. Leave off any crop or trim marks, or they'll print on your flyers.

Which paper should I choose?

Pick your paper in step 2. Both are gloss and print in full colour, so the difference is how thick the flyer feels.

120gsm gloss Flyer weight

A classic flyer that's light and flexible. The better value pick when you're printing lots or handing them out.

  • Letterbox drops and mail outs
  • Handouts at events and counters
  • Inserts for bags, parcels and newsletters

200gsm gloss Thicker, card-like

A sturdier flyer that stands up on its own and holds up to handling, so it feels more premium.

  • Takeaway menus and price lists
  • Brochure stands and display racks
  • Anything people will keep or reuse

DL flyers are great for menus, price lists, mail outs and brochure stands. No artwork yet? Choose “Template” or “Custom design” in step 1 and we'll design it for you. Need a hand? Contact the TB Print team.

Quick answers

Common questions

Can't see your question? Call us on 08 8688 2115 or send us a message.

What size should my file be?

Make your file 105 × 216 mm. This is the size before we trim it to the finished size of 99 × 210 mm. The extra 3mm on every side is called bleed, so stretch your background right to the edge of your file. Keep your text and logos at least 3mm in from the cut line so nothing gets trimmed off.

Which paper should I choose?

Both papers are gloss and print in full colour. 120gsm gloss is a light, classic flyer and the better value pick for letterbox drops, mail outs and handouts. 200gsm gloss is thicker and card-like, so it suits takeaway menus, price lists, brochure stands and anything people will keep. Choose your paper in step 2.

Can you check my file before printing?

Yes. Choose “Check my file” in step 3 and we'll check your file's size, bleed, resolution and colour setup before printing, and contact you if anything needs fixing. We don't check spelling or wording. If you skip the check, your flyers are printed exactly as supplied, and a reprint caused by something in the file is charged.

I don't have a design yet. Where do I start?

Choose “Template” or “Custom design” in step 1 and we'll design your flyer for you. If you're making it yourself, follow the steps in “Getting your file ready” above and save it as a PDF. Please check your spelling carefully before you order, as we print exactly what you send.

Can I print on both sides?

Yes, choose “Double-sided” in step 2. Put the front on page 1 and the back on page 2 of your PDF, and make both pages the same 105 × 216 mm size with bleed.

How are flyers different to A4 or A5 printing?

Flyers are printed and then trimmed to size, so your colours and photos can run right to the edge for a professional finish. That’s the main difference to our A4 and A5 printing. Need black and white? Our A4 and A5 black and white printing is cheaper.

How will my flyers get to me?

All orders are printed and sent from our shop in Tumby Bay with Australia Post, Australia wide. Orders placed on weekends and public holidays are processed on the next working day. We don't offer weekend or next-day delivery.

What if something's wrong with my order?

If your flyers arrive damaged, we made a mistake, or you received the wrong item, we'll reprint, replace or refund them. We can't offer refunds for a change of mind, mistakes in the file you supplied such as typos or low-resolution images, or options chosen incorrectly at checkout. Please contact us and we'll sort it out.
