Before you upload

Getting your file ready

Four quick checks and your print will come out just the way you pictured it. Not sure about something? Ask us and we'll gladly take a look.

Match the page size

Set your file to the size you're ordering so nothing gets stretched or squashed.
A5 148 × 210 mm · A4 210 × 297 mm · A3 297 × 420 mm

Upload a PDF

One PDF, up to 20MB, with every page in the order you want. Choose “Save as PDF” in Word, Canva or your design program, and leave off any crop or trim marks.

Use sharp images

Aim for 150 to 300 dpi at the size the picture will print. Small images, or ones saved from a website, can turn out blurry on paper.

Expect slightly softer colours

Screens glow, paper doesn't. Very bright blues, greens and neons usually print a touch calmer than they look on your screen. That's normal for any printer.

Printing double-sided? Pages print in the order they appear in your PDF, with page 1 on the front of the first sheet and page 2 on the back. Need a hand? Contact the TB Print team.

Paper guide

Which paper should I choose?

Not sure what “gsm” means? It's just how heavy the paper is. The bigger the number, the thicker and stiffer it feels. Here's what we'd pick for common jobs.

80gsm

Standard paper

Everyday office paper, the same as most home and office printers use. Light and flexible.

Great for

  • Documents, reports and letters
  • Forms, notes and drafts
  • Big runs where cost matters

120gsm

Quality paper

A step up from standard. Thicker and smoother, with a more solid feel in the hand.

Great for

  • Flyers and handouts
  • Double-sided colour prints
  • Menus and info sheets

200gsm

Light card

Thick and sturdy but still flexible. It feels premium and holds up to handling.

Great for

  • Posters and display prints
  • Presentation covers
  • Invitations and greeting cards

300gsm

Heavy card

Firm, thick card. It stands up on its own and doesn't bend easily.

Great for

  • Certificates and awards
  • Postcards
  • Event stationery

Good to know: Thicker paper also means fewer pages can be stapled, so very thick stacks are delivered unstapled. Printing double-sided on lighter paper can show a little through from the other side.

Quick answers

Common questions

Can't see your question? Call us on 08 8688 2115 or send us a message.

Can you check my file before printing?

We print your PDF exactly as supplied and don't check spelling, image quality, sizing or margins, so please look it over before you order. If you'd like a second pair of eyes first, get in touch and we'll help where we can.

How long will my order take?

Standard orders are ready in 1 to 3 business days. If you need it sooner, choose the priority option in the calculator. Priority orders placed before 12pm on a business day are ready the next business day. We'll email you when your order is ready to collect or has been posted.

What if there's a mistake in my file?

Because we print exactly what you send, reprints caused by something in the supplied file are charged. Checking your PDF carefully before you order is the best way to avoid that.

Can I print a different size?

Yes. We print A5, A4 and A3, in colour and in black and white. You'll find the other sizes under Related products further down this page, or contact us if you need something custom or a very large order.

What does "not full bleed" mean?

Your print has a small white border around the edge of the page, so artwork can't run right to the edge. See the guide above for the safe area to keep your text inside.
